# Phase 0 Instructions

In order to encourage participants to join SAIA Dao at launch and participate in any early proposals, we will be subsidizing up to 200 individuals with one xDAI to be used for voting and gas costs. Complete the following instructions by ~~midnight EST, April 25, 2021.~~

## Directions: 

1. Install [Metamask](https://metamask.io/) and create an account. Make sure you backup your seed phrase (offline) somewhere safe and NEVER DISCLOSE THEM TO ANYONE. If these are lost, so are your funds. 
2. Add the xDAI network. 
   1. Use [Chainlist.org](https://chainlist.org/) and search for xDAI. Find the one with ChainID 100, click "connect wallet", confirm in Metamask and then select "add to Metamask". 
   2. Alternatively, [use manual instructions here](https://www.xdaichain.com/for-users/wallets/metamask/metamask-setup). 
3. Go to the [xDAI Faucet](https://www.xdaichain.com/for-users/get-xdai-tokens/xdai-faucet) and complete the process to receive $0.10 xDAI. 
4. ~~Fill out the~~[ ~~Google form~~](https://forms.gle/cD42vMG7DtNh8WzNA) ~~before midnight EST, April 25, 2021, and provide your wallet address. It may be copied to clipboard by clicking the Metamask icon and clicking "Account 1"~~
5. ~~Join the Interstellar Alliance Discord (linked in sidebar) and post a screenshot to the **#dao-verification** channel showing your Metamask wallet. Make sure the address and 0 XDAI balance is visible, as in the example below. Submissions without screenshot posted to Discord will not be accepted.~~

Following the cutoff, the DAO will be launched. Each successful participant will be granted one voting share.
